Our care staff, from therapists and nursing team to the advisory physician is here to help, providing the senior rehabilitation services you need to achieve the highest level of function and medical recovery possible.
You can expect specialized senior rehabilitation care seven days a week at Parkwood, directed by a team of licensed nurses, advisory physicians, and rehab therapists. Our on-staff medical director will oversee your care, along with a licensed nurse, a certified nurse’s assistant and a medication aide. Our senior rehabilitation program provides physical, speech, and occupational therapy by some of the most outstanding therapists in Tarrant County.
Our staff is here to provide our residents with specialized senior rehabilitation services whenever they need it. We offer therapy on-site, provide home evaluations, attend ortho appointments when applicable, and identify risks to prevent falls. Our ultimate goal is to help patients stay motivated and return to home as quickly as possible.
As patients recover from serious illness or surgery, close monitoring of complex chronic conditions or additional pain management may be required. You can rely on us for physician-supervised around-the-clock care to meet unique needs.
If you are scheduling an orthopedic procedure or operation, your surgeon likely will recommend post-acute care to ease the transition from hospital to home and help you recover more quickly and effectively. At Parkwood, we accept preregistration for transitional care and gladly provide details about what to pack for your stay.
Parkwood Healthcare also participates in Curaspan and Allscripts. We will gladly verify all insurances to determine benefit eligibility. Private pay also accepted.
Our therapy staff will evaluate your case within 24 to 48 hours of admission. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy are provided as ordered by your physician. Then, a care plan meeting takes place within 10 to 14 days to review progress and plan for return home. We value our residents and understand the importance of a quick evaluation for a quick return home.

Within our senior rehabilitation facility, every large semi-private suite with private bath features a large picture window to let the outdoors in. The suites are bright, cheerful, and welcoming. In fact, visitors are welcome anytime. Even vaccinated and groomed pets can visit!
