Independent Living
Residents love it here.
The Independent Living residents love living at Parkwood, but don’t just take our word for it. Hear what our residents have to say about their experience.
Like living in a great neighborhood.
“My son visited 10 retirement centers before he chose this one for us to tour. It is like living in a great neighborhood – not a dorm! We have a balcony and a very comfortable set up. The friendly and caring staff is always available. We can also get housekeeping, our laundry done, rides to doctors, a dog walker and very good meals. In addition, we have games, sing songs and group activities that keep our minds sharp and positive.” – Rick and Tuell
Stay active and safe.
“I love to live at Parkwood because of the staff, they are very, very good. If you get in trouble they are there right away. I love the entertainment, we have someone new every week, it’s very good. I also love the activities, they have different activities, card games, anything you think you would like, and the apartments are just really, really nice.” – Cindy
Nothing compares to Parkwood.
“I was determined to stay active as long as I could with my church family and friends and still have the security of knowing I was in a very safe environment. Early on I visited Parkwood and was extremely impressed. I found myself comparing everything else I was seeing to Parkwood so when it was time to make a decision, guess what, here I am at Parkwood! It has been an incredible experience and I often wonder what I would have done if I hadn’t come into this supportive environment. I’m feeling very much that I am blessed to be a part of Parkwood. Certainly, the residents that I’ve gotten to know have become very good friends and we support each other. But I have to say it’s the staff are the ones that have made this environment one that is feeling very protective.” – Marilyn
